Travel can be a rewarding experience in so many different ways. While you will likely see great sites, stay in fabulous places, and eat wonderful food, it is the people you meet that often delight the most.
Guilt free globalisation ribs
For a long time I would get the guilts when ordering a burger in Thailand, or eating a wonderful bowl of pasta in China. I felt like I was in some way disrespecting the local cuisine… but long gone are those days! There is no questioning my love for eating local food, but I am now of the opinion that if the food is good (regardless of cuisine) then it should be eaten. I am here, ready, and reporting for duty!
The Bali Three
This is a story about the trials and tribulations of love. As a young teenager I had short but extremely passionate encounter while on holiday to Bali. This relationship has shaped my adult life, and spurred a passion that still exists today. It was a trip where I discovered I have a very deep love for hotels.
Seafood and eat it
The edge of wildness
I set out on a journey to discover the best of what Indonesia has to offer, and I’m pretty sure i’ve found it! I am on the Island of Sumba, and have just spent the last hour and a half trekking (and schvitzing) my way through one of its many jungles. I stand looking at a scene worthy of a postcard. A towering waterfall overlooks pristine aqua pools. A gourmet picnic is laid out perfectly on a bamboo deck at the waters edge. There is someone waiting to offer me an ice cold drink, and we are the only people here. I need someone to pinch me so I know its all real.
